No7 BC – Walgreens Boots Alliance (WBA)
The Problem
No7 Beauty Company needed a provider and artwork management system that could manage the fast-moving nature of their business. Enabling speed to market and reduced resource requirements from within the industry while also reducing the overall artwork re-loops they were experiencing.
The Solution
We worked with No7 Beauty Company on a pilot project allowing their team including Packaging Technologists, Formulation Technologists, Product Managers and Regulatory Advisors to use our system first hand. The feedback we received was extremely positive from the fact it was easy to use, less time consuming and inspiring as to what could be possible in the future. After being awarded the business in early 2022 we implemented the following:
• 16 week implementation process
• Recruitment of Brand Sentinel role
• Recruitment of team to drive artwork creation
• Coding of bespoke solutions
• Migration of over 5000 legacy files
• Migration of 1000’s of approved reusable standard statements
And Now...
Following a detailed implementation plan which includes a “Full Service” offering in phase one before moving to our “Concierge” service in Phase 2. No7 Beauty Company are now building a library of brand-maps which will allow their users to access and create artworks whenever they need. The long term plan is to move to phase 3 “Self-Service” which will link our systems to No7 Beauty Company’s internal PLM to fully drive automated artwork creation.
Traditional Model v Concierge Model
One of the first projects we worked on for was to create 40 No7 Cosmetic Shade Labels. This was an excellent test to prove the speed and agility of the system:
Traditional Model
• Template creation = 5 days
• Variant creation x 40 = 5 days
Concierge Model
• Brand-Map creation - 2 days (this also included customer approval)
• Variant creation x 40 = 1 day (including auto generated briefs for each variant)
